Auf Instagram sind bereits mehr als 4.000 Beiträge zum Hashtag #fillthebottle oder auch #FilltheBottle-Challenge („Füll-die-Flasche-Challenge“). Unter diesen Beiträgen finden sich Fotos von eingesammelten Zigarettenstummeln. Wer mit machen will bei der Aktion, schnappt sich ein Gefäß, es muss keine Plastik Flasche sein, und befüllt es mit Kippen, die er auf dem Boden findet. Angestoßen haben die Challenge zwei französische Teenager, nach einer großen Aktion in Paris, haben auch in Freiburg mehrere Freiwillige 9.500 Zigarettenstummel eingesammelt. Kippen, bzw. die Filter sind aus einem Kunststoff/Plastik und hochgiftig, eine davon verschmutzt schon 40 Liter Grundwasser. Wichtig ist noch zu erwähnen, dass Plastikflasche und Zigarettenstummel getrennt entsorgt werden müssen. Also gesammelte Kippen bitte in den Restmüll entsorgen und das Plastikgefäß in den gelben Sack.
On Instagram there are already more than 3,500 contributions to #fillthebottle or #FilltheBottle-Challenge. Among these contributions are photos of collected cigarette butts. If you want to take part in the action, grab a container, it doesn’t have to be a plastic bottle, and fill it with cigarette butts that you find on the ground. The challenge was initiated by two French teenagers, following a major campaign in Paris and also several volunteers collected 9,500 cigarette butts in Freiburg. The filters are made of plastic and are highly toxic, one of them already pollutes 40 litres of groundwater. It is also important to note that the plastic bottle and cigarette butts must be disposed of separately. So please dispose of the collected cigarette butts in the residual waste and the plastic container in the yellow sack.
